I am delighted to announce my new role as Chief Operating Officer at Chainbase. In this position, I’ll be responsible for all non-technical aspects, including community building, marketing, growth, and eco-system development. Prior to joining Chainbase, my professional background revolved around the world of finance. Through experience in management consulting, cross-border M&A, and venture capital investment, I gained valuable insights into how visionary entrepreneurs navigate decision-making and leverage the capital market to pursue their ambitions.

However, as I immersed myself deeper into this realm, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing. I realized that I need to dive into a rapidly evolving battlefield, where paradigm shifts are constantly occurring. Reflecting on my crypto journey, particularly when I first explored Chainbase’s product, I was truly captivated and filled with excitement.

In the era of AI, data has emerged as a new form of valuable resource akin to crude oil. The amount of data generated would be exponentially greater than what we’ve been experiencing during the internet era. Simultaneously, crypto world serves as the network of value re-allocating, playing a crucial role in capturing, evaluating, storing and distributing the value derived from data utilizing, transforming and trading. Looking back at the early-age of the Internet, Microsoft transformed information into computer-readable data, while Google met the demand of data searching and capitalizing on the value of data via business centered around Ads.

This raises a question: What a future-oriented data infra would be like if standing on the perspective of hundred times of data generated and efficiency of data value capturing. This right fits with the approach and structure of Chainbase’s product. At Chainbase, we are committed to transforming on-chain “information” into usable “data” by thoroughly understanding of logic behind smart contracts, users patterns in accessing data, and various scenarios where on-chain data can yield its utmost value. We plan to open up these capabilities systematically and turn them into fundamental components of a versatile platform. Concurrently, we are planning to establish standardized frameworks of usable on-chain data with strategic partners, enabling the seamless integration of on/off-chain data.

In one word, our mission is to become developers’ interface for interacting with on-chain data, offering reliability, accuracy, and openness.

Although the number of developers is not yet large enough, they have already created a staggering value of approximately US$1.2 trillion. However, in the past few years, there have been enormous tailwinds in the data and infrastructure sectors. This momentum is bound to increase the number of developers, dApps, and participants in the industry as a whole.

At last, I am delighted to announce that the upcoming 12 months will a significant milestone for Chainbase as Go-To-Market Year. During this period, we will actively engage with developers and advocate for the value of on-chain data through various channels and methods.
